DIY Healthy Halloween Dog Treats

I love Halloween so I couldn’t resist buying some spooky cookie cutters and chew-toys. Don’t they look cute?!?! After scrolling through the web I found an easy-peasy cookie recipe. Don’t get me wrong, I love baking for my dog but sometimes you just want to keep it delicious and simple.

To make these easy vegetarian dog cookies you will need:

1 banana
50 ml yogurt
1 egg
10 ml coconut oil
250 gr buckwheat flour*

*instead of buckwheat flour you can also use a different type of flour but be aware that the amount of flour might change. Just be creative and add little by little more of the flour until you are happy with the consistency of the dough

Preheat the oven to 170° C (340° F).
Mash the banana and mix all ingredients together. I used my hands to mix all ingredients together. If you use enough flour on your hands it isn’t as messy as you might think. I got approximately 40 cookies out of this dough but it really depends on the size of your cookie cutter.
Roll out the dough until you are happy with the thickness and cut out that spooky cookies!!

Place the cookies on a lined baking tray and put them in the oven for about 20 minutes (if your cookies are thicker they might need some more minutes). The cookies are ready if they got a little bit of color.

Bobby really likes these cookies! To be honest, he never not like a cookie haha
And because they looked so freaking cute I also bought him a new set of chew toys. These one are from the brand ZippyPaws and I bought them for 13,95 Euro. Of course, they have a squeaker inside, which are his favorite part. He will not rest until the squeaker is destroyed. I don’t think that these toys will last long but hey…they are cute.

What are your plans for Halloween? Something special planned for your furried friend?
